Weekend Notes

Happy Friday πŸ™‚ I am so grateful that I am not in the way of the hurricane. I pray and hope that you and your loved ones will stay safe in this bad weather. I feel so hurt for those who are affected. Thanks for all the support you give, and I am happy to tell you that my mom (in Texas) is safe. She wasn’t flooded out and is still in her home πŸ™‚

How has your week been going?

Mine has been pretty busy and good too. Although I was out of electricity yesterday until late in the night.

I will be going shopping for groceries today. That means a road trip, coconuts and maybe pizza πŸ™‚ For tomorrow and Sunday, I hope to get some rest. And maybe bake a bread pudding.

What are you weekend plans?

it must be a helpless feeling. it's good news.
goodness knows we could use some.
it's like waiting for a big monster to hit!
the cottage in Jamaica there is so beautiful. as is your new blog look!

  2. I was wondering if you would be hit with any of the Irma storm… glad you are safe and not hit by those winds. It's scary waiting for it to hit Florida. My nephew lives right on the East coast in the middle, and my sister has a vacation home in the middle of FL. I'm praying. My weekend plans are to try to do some damage control in my yard and clean up some old dried out flowers, etc. Lawns need to be watered and mowed. Maybe will make a sweetie gluten free dessert for me! Just trying to stay cool. xoxo Marilyn

  3. I'm so very grateful to hear you are safe. We're all worried about friends/family in Florida — and just sort of got done worrying about friends in Texas.

This is just a laid back weekend. Last night dinner and gallery hopping with friends. A putter day today and who knows what tomorrow will bring?!

  4. Hello, Summer, it is nice to catch up with you….Glad to hear that your Mom is safe and dry and that you escaped the worst of the storm, Irma. I am so worried about everyone who has suffered and who are still in the path of this terrible storm. The wildfires are still out of control here in the Pacific Northwest, too. I will be trying to relax as I watch the coverage of the storm on television this weekend. Lots of prayers……sending hugs xo Karen
